VTB (Azerbaijan) has made it easier to transfer money from Russia. Now customers can make a transfer from a ruble account at VTB, and the money will be immediately transferred to the recipient’s existing account at VTB (Azerbaijan) in the national currency - Azerbaijani manat. The service is available in the VTB Online application and in VTB’s Internet bank.
“We have created a convenient opportunity for our customers to receive money from Russia using only their phone number. After transferring funds, they are immediately transferred to the account in Azerbaijani manat and at a favorable exchange rate, which makes the process simpler and faster. This service is especially relevant against the background of the growing demand for cross-border transfers: by the end of 2024, the volume of financial transactions between Russian banks and VTB (Azerbaijan) reached 31 million manat, and the number of transactions exceeded 5.6 thousand,” said Yevgeny Borodin, Member of the Board of Directors of VTB (Azerbaijan), Director of the Retail Business Development Department.
VTB (Azerbaijan) clients can also use the money transfer service to any bank in Russia with low commissions and favorable conversion terms.
